Rejoice
But let the godly rejoice. Let them be glad in God’s presence.
Psalm 68:3 NLT
Do you have any enemies?
No one wants to think there are enemies… but they are real, and YOU do have them.
The Bible is clear… God’s children have spiritual enemies and those enemies hate God!
Look…
Rise up, O God, and scatter your enemies. Let those who hate God run for their lives. Blow them away like smoke. Melt them like wax in a fire. Let the wicked perish in the presence of God. (Psalm 68:1-2 NLT).
This is what the spiritual enemy is like… a smoke that blocks your way… or stifling your good momentum… just making it difficult for you.
The good news is that the enemy cannot stand in the presence of God!
When God shows up… the enemy runs for their lives.
This is why Jesus has given you His Spirit within you… so His presence is always WITH you.
So you can respond like this…
But let the godly rejoice. Let them be glad in God’s presence. Let them be filled with joy. … Our God is a God who saves! The Sovereign Lord rescues us from death. (Psalm 68:3, 20 NLT).
God rescues and fights for you by His Spirit… this is a spiritual fight.
Think about this…
And take… the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:17B NASB20).
Jesus is the Word of God and the sword of the Spirit… Use His Words of Scripture to spiritually fight the enemy.
If you don’t know what to say, what do you do?
Pray. Ask Jesus. Commit to memorize His Word… Use the Word of God as the Holy Spirit directs you.
Resist the enemy… Command the enemy to flee in the name of Jesus.
And the enemy will flee!
This is how God fights the battle within you!
You will be so glad… you know the Word and trust the Spirit of God!
Rejoice… Be filled with joy in God’s presence.
It is God who saves and rescues you!
Lord, in the quiet of my heart, You speak to me training me by Your Spirit how to stand firm in Your Word… amazed as You make the enemy flee and scatter at the name of Jesus because of Your presence! Thank You for filling me with joy and gladness, cheering You on as I happily see Your presence fighting for me! In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
