SHUSH!

Find the moon in the sky before dawn. 

 Allow the sun to nourish you.

Study the hues and tones of God’s chosen colors in a sunset.

Listen to bird conversations. 

Feel the breeze.

Don’t work, don’t talk, just be still and listen. 

Wait for renewal, strength and peace to be restored.

Gardens, mountains, bodies of water, fields, and caves were some of the locations where God revealed himself in scripture. Many of God’s chosen ones were given their specific instructions after times of solitude in places just like this.

While COVID-19 statistics rise daily, we listen to experts in an attempt to find our footing. Are you sometimes deafened by all of the strategizing? You may say, “Enough! Too much noise!” 

Shush! Invite silence into your quiet time. Welcome the outdoors for renewal. God’s promises are confirmed to you through His amazing Creation. 

You will indeed go out with joy and be peacefully guided; the mountains and the hills will break into singing before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Instead of the thornbush, a cypress will come up, and instead of the brier, a myrtle will come up; this will stand as a monument for the LORD, an everlasting sign that will not be destroyed.

Father, we are in awe of this beautiful world. Thank you!  Please renew our souls by restoring love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control during this time of uncertainty.
