The next few weeks are big for some families. It is the beginning of a new school year adventure. Are you anxious about your little one starting school? Perhaps this is your first time dropping your little one off at kindergarten. I know looking at your small child going through those great big doors of school can be scary! Having them walk away from you as they face the journey ahead and not even look back can be challenging.

This could be your first time taking your “sweet baby” to college, and you are having to drive away from her– leaving her to face the world and choices alone. She is full of confidence and excitement about her journey ahead, and your heart is aching knowing she is all grown up. She is ready to spread her wings; all you can do is watch…maybe cry…and pray for God to protect her.

Whichever scenario you find yourself in, take heart that God is holding them in His mighty hand and holding on to you.

Dear Father, Thank You for giving us children to raise, nourish, protect, and love. Help us rely on You as their guide, protector, and friend. Help calm our nerves as we move into a new phase in life and that we will have no fear.
