Choose Life
Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!
Deuteronomy 30:19 NLT
This may seem simple… but what happens to you if you make the choice for life?
You live.
So, then read this…
Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. (Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NLT).
So… you make this choice for life by… loving the Lord your God, obeying Him, committing yourself firmly to Him.
This is the key to your life.
Desiring for God’s Kingdom and God’s Will to be part of your life… this is real life… spiritual life.
But be prepared, the enemy is going to try to convince you not to love God, not to obey, not to commit… creating a struggle within you.
The enemy will try to entice your will over God’s Will by deceptive thoughts… such as God’s way is too hard or too much trouble.
Don’t believe it.
God’s Will, God’s Way is done with… supernatural power from the Holy Spirit.
Jesus said…
Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me – watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly. (Matthew 11:28-30 MSG).
To choose the better way, you have to let go of control. Will you?
If you do, you live freely… lightly… trusting God… choosing life… His Will, His Way.
Jesus said… I am the way… the truth… the life (John 14:6).
Jesus is the Way to the Father’s Will.
Choose life… choose Jesus… invite God’s Will, God’s Way to be part of your life today.
Father, in the quiet of my heart, You speak and Your Word is the same today. I have the choice to choose life by loving You, obeying and committing to You! When I choose life WITH You, I am choosing Jesus. This means real life… spiritual life, Your Will. I invite Your Will for my life today. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
