Crossroad

Ask God…

(Colossians 1:9)

 As I sat at a crossroad, I was unsure of which direction to turn.

 I have never had a good sense of direction.

 If anyone gets lost… it’s me.

 Can you relate?

 This same difficulty with direction can happen spiritually too.

 I have learned to be cautious in seeking spiritual direction.

 I don’t just listen to my own heart… my own will.

 I have learned my own heart can send me the wrong direction.

 I can get lost.

 So… where do I go to find the answer?

 God’s Word gave me this answer…

So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. (Colossians 1:9-10 NLT).

 God can give me a complete knowledge of His Will.

 Jesus gives me all the spiritual wisdom and understanding that I need to follow God’s Will.

 This is how to find the right direction… the one that pleases the Lord.

 So… I grow and go the right way!

 You can ask God too… He wants you to know!

 Father, in the quiet of my heart, You speak to me telling me that if I will ask Your Will, you will give me complete knowledge of Your Will and help me with all spiritual wisdom and understanding. I ask that You share Your Will with me so I can live in a way that pleases You. Thank You. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
