Keep Me Strong

Keep Me Strong

Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.

Ephesians 3:17 NLT

Often, I don’t feel very strong… but I want to be strong.

Look at what our heavenly Father does… Paul prays…

I fall to my knees and pray to the Father … I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. (Ephesians 3:14-16 NLT).

And then…

Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you … strong. (Ephesians 3:17 NLT).

Trust. If I want to be strong… I have a responsibility… to trust Jesus.

So, you and I don’t have to be strong on our own… but we do have to trust.

Trust in Jesus… Trust in His salvation… Trust His Word … His truth.

And when I trust in Jesus, then… He makes His home in my heart and…

May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. (Ephesians 3:19-20 NLT).

You and I experience the love of Jesus that brings supernatural power… power within… inner God-sized strength.

So, guess what? You and I don’t have to be strong on our own… We just have to trust that Jesus is strong.

Then, Jesus will fill us with His strength… His power within our hearts.

And look what Jesus will accomplish?

Infinitely more… than we might ask or think.

What have you asked Jesus for strength in?

Is it strength in a struggle? Strength in a relationship? Strength in service?

Keep watching… but look for more than you thought… see what Jesus is doing.

Trust Jesus.

Heavenly Father, in the quiet of my heart, You speak to me and strengthen me when I trust in Jesus. And I find this inner strength from Your Spirit, empowering me. It is You who fills me with Your loving-kindness, making me complete, giving me fullness of life. You provide it all. I am so grateful. Help me trust Jesus more. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
