Learning in the Quiet
Be a good worker … who correctly explains the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15 NLT
I cannot be good on my own or explain spiritual truth on my own … I need help.
It is freeing to admit that … I need help.
It has taken me years to admit … I need help.
How about you?
For years, I thought I had to know it all, do it all … on my own.
Then, in the quiet of my heart … I learned the truth … that I need help with … everything.
Jesus said…
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I have said to you (John 14:26 NASB20).
So. God. Sent. Me … the Helper.
This is beautiful to me … the Helper teaches me all things and reminds me of all Jesus says.
It is not all up to me … this is freedom.
I can rest … free from worry, anxiety, pain … free from the lie that I must do it all by myself.
When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you for the Father, namely, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, He will testify about Me (John 15:26 NASB20).
The Helper is the Spirit of truth … who teaches me the Word of truth.
In the quiet of my heart with the Spirit of truth, I can know the Word of truth.
I can rest and trust the Spirit of truth to help me … so I can share truth.
Leading another … to learn truth in the quiet.
Father, You are showing me in Your Word that you want me to know the truth. You sent Your Spirit of truth to teach me the Word of Truth. Help me learn from You, so I can share Your truth with another. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
