In the Quiet Place
Jesus said, Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place …
Mark 6:31-32 NLT
Have you heard … it’s 100% cancer? I have.
Have you lost someone close to you? I have.
Have you heard … something overwhelming, something you didn’t want to hear?
In those moments, what do you do? Where do you turn?
I don’t have all the answers, but in those moments, I do know the One to turn to.
In the quiet place with Jesus, I find the One who does know the right thing to say.
He speaks in the quiet of your heart with the exact words I need to hear in that moment.
He gives me truth … the truth I need.
I hear … Trust Me.
Trust Me with that cancer.
Trust Me with that separation.
I hear …
Do not fear for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10 CSB).
Let go of that fear … let go … Let. Go.
These are the Words of truth … of healing, of life.
I have heard words that hurt … but I have found the One with the Words of life that heal.
Simon Peter answered, “Lord, to whom will we go? You have the words of eternal life” (John 6:68 CSB).
No one else has words like these. Hold on to these words.
Father, help me trust You with everything from my greatest to least need. You have the Words of eternal life, the Words of truth. There is no One else but You. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
