Trusting God Can Cleanse You
The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.” Then he said to Joshua, “See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put fine garments on you.”
Zechariah 3:3-4
Zechariah had a vision from the Lord. It was set up similar to a court setting and standing on trial was Joshua, the high priest. Zechariah saw the angel of the Lord and Satan standing next to Joshua ready to accuse him for his wrong doings.
The Lord turns to Satan and then rebukes him!
The angel of the Lord then turns to those standing there and tells them to remove Joshua’s stained drenched clothes. He then speaks these beautiful words, "See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put fine garments on you.”
Joshua was forgiven and purified.
The Lord can do the same for us. He can take our filthy sin and remove it so that Satan can no longer use it to accuse us before a Holy and Righteous God. In Isaiah 1:18, God says, “Come now, let us settle this matter, Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”
When we trust in God’s goodness and mercy and seek His forgiveness, He can cleanse us from all our unrighteousness.
How about taking off those filthy clothes and exchanging them for fine garments of grace from our Heavenly Father today?
Are you ready to trust Him? Are you ready to be cleansed?

Thank You so much for giving Zechariah this vision showing us Your love and forgiveness.
