SNAP!
Just like that –– our lives changed.
The fears and frustrations we feel are real.
We cope.
Our patience is tested.
We experience loss.
We regroup.
The Word of God, our unchanging foundation, remains the same and is true.
Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts. My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness. Though grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness; even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil and regard not the majesty of the LORD.
Isaiah 26:8-10
As we yearn for stability during this pandemic, we may not only examine others’ actions but our own. The Prophet Isaiah’s prayer was written 750 years before Jesus Christ was born, but the good news is that Christ’s Beloved are offered here and now a plethora of opportunities to reassess our personal lives.
