This Is No Fairy Tale

This Is No Fairy Tale

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16

I love listening to my little six year old play in her bedroom. The way she transforms her room into a wonder land of unicorns, mermaids, and fairies filled with magical and mystical powers, makes my heart smile. In her own little world, these imaginary beings come alive through play.

One story my family and I love to share is no fairy tale but a historical event that changed the world. It began when an innocent, perfect little baby was born in Bethlehem. He would be a gift to the world from God. Jesus Christ came to earth to save mankind from their sins. He was the perfect sinless sacrifice, and He paid the ultimate price by dying on a cross for us. The story does not end there, however, because three days later Jesus Christ would overcome death! He made the pathway for us to be able to have eternal life with God.

I am so thankful that God’s wonderful Word is truth and not a collection of fairy tale myths.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You so much that we have Your Word that speaks truth to us and reminds us of Your great love. Thank You for sending Jesus down to save our souls so that one day we can be in Your presence.

In Jesus Name,
Amen
