I enjoy experiencing new things. Do you?

It could be trying a new recipe or dabbling in a new craft. Enjoy reading a new book or traveling to new places. There is excitement wrapped up in the idea of doing something new. However, becoming a new creation in Christ is listed as one of the most extraordinary experiences of my life.

2 Corinthians 5:17, says, “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!”

I am so thankful that the person I was before putting my faith in Jesus is gone! I now have the Holy Spirit guiding me to live like Jesus. I have God’s word reminding me of who I am in Christ. In response, I can’t help but praise His name because “He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in Him” (Psalm 40:3).

Once you become a new creation in Christ, your outward expression will be noticed by those around you. Your love for Jesus becomes contagious, and spreads, therefore it could cause others to trust in Jesus, too, making them a new creation! How exciting!

Thank You, Father that once we trust You, we are no longer the same. Thank You for giving us a “new” heart!
