How do you look at life?

Do you see the tree or the forest… the detail or the big picture?

Don’t miss this big picture…

Friends, this world is not your home, so don’t make yourselves cozy in it. Don’t indulge your ego at the expense of your soul (1 Peter 2:11 MSG).

Hmm… This world is not my home.

As a Christian, my home is heaven… God’s kingdom.

If I don’t keep that in mind… I can get caught up in worldly things.

Things like selfish ambition… indulging my ego… at the expense of my soul.

These things trap me… in sin.

How am I to live?

Live an exemplary life in your neighborhood so that your actions will refute their prejudices. Then they’ll be won over to God’s side and be there to join in the celebration when he arrives (1 Peter 2:12 MSG).

I am to live here on earth… thinking of the big picture.

Living… an exemplary life.

Pray… ask Jesus to help you avoid the traps that threaten your soul.

Instead… ask Him to use you to win people to His side!

Father, in the quiet of my heart, You speak to me… warning me there are traps that wage war against my soul. Protect me and help me live an exemplary life, leading people to Your side so we can celebrate together one day! In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
