This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20

You’re invited to pray aloud with me during my morning commute. 

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the new life you give us through your son Jesus. You are our life, and your presence is everything.

I lift my family and friends to you this day. Thank you for accomplishing what concerns us by your everlasting lovingkindness (Psalms 138:8 NASB).

I ask your protection spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically today. Thank you for the protective and authoritative covering of the precious shed blood of Jesus. May we remain under it and not wander from you. When we do, draw us back in your love.

May we choose life over death, blessings over curses, and freedom from the generational sins that bind us.

Help us choose faith over fear, light over darkness, grace over condemnation, trust over doubt, truth over lies, freedom over bondage, relationships over isolation, victory over defeat, praise over complaint. 

Holy Spirit fill our emptiness this day. Fill us to overflowing so that your living waters flow freely in and through us to the benefit of all those we encounter. 

I pray on behalf of those who do not know you (insert names).

May we be transformed by the renewal of our minds (Romans 12:2); looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). I will worship you today in spirit and truth (John 4:24).

Use me however you chose to be a faithful instrument in your hands.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
