Praise
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.
Psalm 113:2
One of my favorite places to have my quiet time is at my breakfast table because it overlooks into our backyard. I love watching the sun come up in the morning and hearing the birds chirp their morning tunes. I can’t help but give the Lord praise for giving me another day.
On a cool evening I go out on my front porch and sit in my rocking chair and wait for my husband to come home from work. My heart is full of anticipation to see him after being gone all day. I can’t help but notice the beautiful sky, all lit up with hints of orange, red and pink as the sun is going down. My heart can’t help but give God praise for His Majesty.
In Psalm 104, the writer beautifully describes God’s handiwork in how He formed creation. When you take a moment and think of all the intricate details, the rich creativity, and the love behind His handiwork, it is easy to give God praise.
How many are your works, O Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures ( Psalm 104:24).
Take some time and admire your surroundings and thank God for His creativity. He certainly deserves all the honor and praise.
Dear Mighty God,
How can I can I keep from praising Your name? Your beautiful handiwork and blessings are all around me!
