When God first created the earth it was in chaos. There was no order. Using His spoken word, he ordered light and then separated the light from darkness. Then He separated the earth from the heavens and the water from the land. Although He saw it was good, He did not stop there. He created the vegetation and the sun, the moon and the stars. He went on to create living creatures called birds, fish, sea monsters, cattle and things that creep on the ground. He saw it was good, but He wasn't finished.
God wanted someone in His own image to fellowship with, someone to rule over the animals. He said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to our likeness". And God created man in His image; male and female, He created us.
Out of chaos, God created order. Out of nothing, He spoke and it became. Out of love, He made us in His own image. You and I were designed by a creative, orderly and loving Heavenly Father.
When our lives are in chaos and our priorities are out of order, we can go to our Father for help to put the pieces together again.
When we doubt whether there is a purpose for our life, we can go to our Father and He will remind us we are created to be in fellowship with Him.
When we look in the mirror and don't like what we see, we should recall that we were made in His image and can draw upon His resources to fill the void in our emotional and spiritual life.
When we feel in a slump, we should remember He is our Creator God, He knows us, He loves us and He "doesn't make mistakes".
