"A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and
a time to uproot...a time to love and a time to hate, a time for
war and a time for peace."
Things happen. Birth, death, planting and plowing. Love, hate, war, peace. In God's time, with endings I cannot see.
This week we have escaped a Texas winter, with a trip to the beach. A change of seasons. We have taken charge, in our time. The exception, not the rule. Seldom do we control the circumstances of life.
What comfort then in God's timing? Perhaps these three...
1.God knows my life, to the details of my birth and death.
2.In the midst of bad times, I know good will follow:
...plowing up old crops makes way for the new.3.We experience similar things. Lessons learned help others
...love overcomes much of what's to hate.
...war surrenders to peace.
The ocean in front of me stretches as far as I can see, without end. AS FAR AS I CAN SEE, but I know there is an end. So in the midst of bad times I know there will be better. God has land in sight, lined up with eternity.
