The impossible is taking place, and Mary is close to bursting. Who can she tell? Is this really happening? Or is it only a dream?
The angel knew she would wonder, so he had told Mary of the miracle of Elizabeth's pregnancy at a ripe old age. Elizabeth would understand. Mary hurried to see her.
Not only did Elizabeth understand, but the baby in her womb jumped for joy. And this at Mary's greeting, the words not yet out of her mouth.
Things may happen out-of-the-blue when God is in them. Angels may appear. Miracles occur. But the truth is that God always confirms His plans. Elizabeth knew. The unborn John knew. An angel appeared to Joseph.
