"Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a
nest for herself, where she may have her young - a place near
your altar, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God." Psalm
84:3
On a personal note this Thanksgiving day, from a grateful heart!
While contemplating my turkey...
From a recent newspaper clipping: Ten baby egrets were soaring
home to south Texas on a Southwest Airlines jet, free, gratis.
It seems they had wandered off from their moms, and summered in
a local refuge. The attempt to reunite them with their family
for migration was fruitless. The flock had flown the coop. Now,
picture humans teaching young egrets to migrate. Solution - join
the jet set!
Back to my turkey. Not a word in the scripture about turkeys,
nor egrets, but God's delight in sparrows is evident. He cares
for even the tiniest of birds. Man provided a jet to get the baby
egrets to their southern home. God has provided a permanent nesting
place for the sparrow, and the swallow, right up there near His
altar.
That's where my home is too. Near His altar. And, God has provided
not only my home, but the transportation. I know the wings of
an angel to be superior to Southwest airlines.
Thank you God, for a long, long list, offered from my heart.
Nancy
