Proverbs 31:30

"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."

Charm and beauty are the things which stand out in our world, the qualities which allure and fascinate. But without the inner character to accompany it, charm will eventually deceive. And let's face it, beauty, skin deep, will fade with time. The fear of the Lord, the saving relationship, that is the thing that is real. It will not deceive. It will not disappear.

It is the knowledge of one's position before God, in awe, in reverence, that brings substance to the charm, and radiance to the beauty, and praise from the Lord.
