Not afraid of the snow? Where I come from, a healthy respect for Old Man Winter prevails. He does exactly as he pleases. One travels, always, in anticipation of a storm.
Snow tires. A scraper. A bag of sand. A snow shovel. A scarf, hat, mittens, jacket, and boots!
You may start out in the sunshine, but sudden squalls
decrease visibility to zero in short order. Without warm clothing,
the "scarlet" of her time, the elements are to be feared.
She makes sure her family does not leave the house unprepared.
You do too.
There are lots of cold, blustery times in our lives. It is the scarlet of Jesus' blood that will cover us with warmth in those days of winter. No need to be afraid.
Today I'll consider, "Am I dressing my family in the scarlet of Jesus' blood?"
