When was the last time you were up before daylight to bake a fresh bagel for breakfast, and have plenty for your servant girls? Servant girls? Not likely! And Bagelsteins is fine, fresh from the freezer.
But, most mornings I am fixing lunches, braiding
hair, pressing outfits, settling arguments, running carpool, worn
down before my work day begins. The processed flour, the fast
foods, the frozen entrees, make room for a different frenzy.
Do I find time early, before the fury, to seek the light for my day in Your word, O Lord, so that I may provide Your food, Your portions?
