We know that Mary was available to work for God right
from the start. She knew God could do the impossible. She need
only be His servant.
From her mother's heart, she would watch this special Son grow. He had a mind of His own, a heart for all the strays on the block, read all the tough books, and had a focus she could not quite grasp. She could but be a mother, there and available, treasuring His ways in her heart. Her blessing, the first miracle. Her burden, at the cross and the tomb. Her reward, a heaven.
A mother's heart! For most of us, that is part of
the workload. Some days it takes all we have left over just to
watch them grow, to be there, and to be available. We overlook
the special blessings under the many burdens. And forget that
heaven watches. Mothering…truly a service to the Lord.
Does your mother's heart need a little perking up? Time to turn those kids over to God. Will you let Him do the impossible through you, His servant?
