HE WAITS

"The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. The Lord protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, he saved me." (Psalm 116:5-6)

My six year old son came in today while I was preparing dinner. He "needed" me to come out and watch him ride his bicycle over the ramp he and his friend had built. He was impatient and I was busy so I told him to wait just a minute. The conversation went on to include his observation that I never come when he needs me. I have probably been very guilty of that, many times.

This conversation led me to be so thankful that our precious Lord is never too busy to hear us. He loves to hear us when we need Him, or when we just want to spend time with Him.

His hands are never too full to help with the load we are trying to bear. In fact, He wants to take it all. He is patient to help me when I try to call attention to something I think I have accomplished. He will wait on me to acknowledge Him and give Him the glory.

"He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him."(Psalm 91:15)

Remember that He is there, waiting for your call for help.
