SEIZE THE TIME
Proverbs 31:19
"In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers."
Too often I resent the routine, tedious things, that still have to be done everyday. Imagine if I had to spin my own yarn to make my own clothes!
Busy at her spinning wheel,
so tedious and slow.
Not different from the way I feel while dashing to and fro.
I push the vacuum,
scrub the tub,
spend hours in the car.
Things I must do,
no substitutes,
no volunteers,
so far.
A waste of time?
Not if I seize it.
God's word in hand, I'll memorize it.
Ten minutes here to meditate.
Five more to pray...God is so great!
Including God in the mundane will pass the time, relieve the monotony and give me a closer glimpse of Him.
