"But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made."

Martha was definitely a part of the work force, albeit in her home. She also had an incredible heart for Jesus.

It was Martha who opened her home to Jesus and to all those disciples. Martha, who ran to meet Jesus after Lazarus died, knowing He could still help. Martha, who confessed Jesus as the Son of God. And Martha, who warned Jesus that Lazarus would be stinking after 4 days in the tomb.

Martha's heart was in the right place. She was just distracted by the work, kept from the one thing.

Hate to admit it, but there's a lot of Martha in me. Always working, distracted by the preparations that have to be made. My heart may be in the right place, but my focus is far from the main thing.

Only one thing is needed!
