In east Texas, we are blessed with an abundance of lakes. In addition to the surface water, there are sufficient wells supplied by underground springs. The shortcoming lies in the pumping system. Tyler was adequately supplied, but the outlying communities were not able to get the water into their reservoirs fast enough. They had to abide by strict watering rules, and consequently lawns suffered.
Once we understand that the Lord provides the pumping system to access the abundance of living water waiting to satisfy the needs of our dry souls, we will reap the benefits. Our well-watered internal gardens will have an adequate supply of food to nourish our own souls. We will even have extra water from the unfailing supply springing from our hearts to feed others.
Father, my needs for living water run deep in this dry land. I need the strength to tend my internal garden and produce food for myself and my family. I desire an abundance of your water, enough to overflow and water others.
Nancy
