PEACE
BUT THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS, SELF-CONTROL; AGAINST SUCH THINGS THERE IS NO LAW. GALATIANS 5:22
Hi! This morning was chaotic. I turned off the alarm....and...fell back to sleep. When my ll year old son awakened me, I knew this was going to be a "very bad horrible no good morning". I threw lunches together, hurriedly got dressed, handed my children Pop Tarts and looked to see if I had on matching shoes as I ran out the back door. We arrived as the bell was ringing. I sighed relief, spelled "we made it". Have you ever started a day like that? There was no time to find "peace" on a morning like this, not in the worldly sense anyway.
In Psalm 34:14 tells us to "seek peace and pursue it". There is no "I" in peace and I can not attain it from my circumstances, but "The peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus", Phil.4:7
As I entered my office, I breathed out all the anxiety, frustration and irritation that I had felt this morning and breathed in the peace of God. Besides, I Thessalonians 5:13 tells us to "Live in peace with one another." As I walked into an all female office of nine women, I knew that I needed to have a peaceful spirit within me. Besides, my day would only get worse if I didn't allow the Lord to take charge.
May the peace of God be with you today.
Joy
P.S. I'll get up when my alarm rings tomorrow. Talk to you then.
