Ouch! I needed that. When I am troubled and seek God's advise, his Word cuts right to the source of my problem. This week I have been dealing with a negative and very disagreeable attitude. Oh, I can cover it up fairly well most of the time. But the Lord knows my heart and nothing is hidden from him. Sure I can choose to change my bitter attitude, but sometimes, I just prefer to be miserable.

God wants to reveal who we are and who we are not. When we read and study God's word, he requires us to make a decision. We must allow his truth to shape our lives. To be conformed to his image, we can decide our heart's attitude. When we choose to be who we are in Him, there is no need for a cover-up job because our outward appearance to those around us reflect Christ in us.

I am so grateful for a loving Father who continues to cut to the quick of my heart. His word is living, life changing and dynamic as it works in me.
