Within The Still

Still as a shadow, on a calm cool day,
Is the Spirit of Love, wailing to say,
"Come My child please, sit beside Me be still,
If you'll listen to Me, I'll show My will."
"You pray for My wisdom, to understand My ways,
But your life is so busy, as one in a maze.
You're wrapped up in things, that are not of My will,
So how can you listen, unless you be still."
"So drop while you can, the things of your choice,
Sit quietly, then listen, for the sound of My voice.
Give me your heart, your mind, and your soul,
By giving Me these, I'll make your life whole.
"Then give Me your life, as I gave it to you,
I'll prepare you for journeys, you'll be going through.
Allow Me to nurture, the seeds I have sown,
Then walk with Me sowing, the seeds I have grown.
"Before the day ends, pause to kneel down and pray,
To thank Me for showing you, My perfect way.
By giving Me time in your life, don't you see,
You'll enter My kingdom, and dwell there with Me. . . .

Dear Lord, What a blessing to know there is that place within the still of Your Love. Now, just help us to rest within it, as You draw us near.
