Grand Canyon Suite...Praise

From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. Psalm 8:2

On the edge of grandeur at the rim of the Grand Canyon, we may have been inarticulate, but we were not silent. Wow! succeeded Wow! And if you stayed around long enough you would hear that single syllable repeated in a variety of accents, by many nationalities. It may even have reverberated off the cliffs themselves. Although the view defied description, we praised God.

I wondered how anyone could deny the existence of God at that moment. And Romans 1:20 agrees: For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

If God's creation elicits such a natural response, and since God has firmly fixed praise in the hearts of children and infants to silence the enemy, there is hope. God can be understood in His creation if man would but reflect on Him.

Out of the mouth of babes. Wow! Perhaps I need to be a little more vocal in my praise so others will reflect on God, and the enemy will be silenced forever.
