Our God is so good to hear us when we call. I know that He is in control, and knows what will happen in every situation of my life. If there is a problem, God has a solution.
Have you considered that the road God has you on may lead directly to a problem? Look at what happened to the Israelites. God led them out of Egypt and provided a way for them to the Promised Land, but the path He put them on led directly to the Red Sea. They got there and realized there was no way across. Why had God brought them this far only to see them die at the hands of the Egyptian army, which was pursuing them?
God led them down a path that came directly to a problem. The Israelites came to the Red Sea and thought it was the end of the journey, but God chose to make a way through the problem. He had a secret road to reveal to them and it was through the middle of the difficulty. "He searches the sources of the rivers and brings hidden things to light." (Job 28:11 NIV)
He does this for all of us. There is always a secret road through any problem we face. But why would God lead us down a road that might have problems on it? So He will get all the glory in the solutions, and we will learn to depend on Him. Who got the glory when the waters of the Red Sea were rolled back? God did. Who would have gotten the glory if there had been a bridge to go over? Nobody. There would not have been a problem.
God saved the Israelites so that He received all the glory. He saves us in the same way. Our problems are ways for Him to reveal secret roads, ways we cannot see until we have put Him in total control of the situation.
"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland." (Isaiah 43:19 NIV)
