EVERYDAY MIRACLES

"Who can speak of the mighty deeds of the Lord, Or can show forth all His praise?"
(Psalm 106:2 NAS)

Have you seen a miracle lately? First, let me define the word miracle, according to Webster. A miracle is "an occurrence or act that seems to be inexplicable . . . " Okay. Now answer this question. Have you witnessed something, recently, that you could not explain?

You may answer that you have not witnessed a blind person made to see, a lame person made to walk, or a dying person made well. These are some of the things which we call miracles; the things we read about in the Bible. But, there are many miracles around us every day. Have you seen a flower bloom this spring, or have you met your neighbor's new baby? Is it a miracle that a puppy has captured the heart of a little boy who was terrified of dogs? (That's one of my recent miracles.)

These are all things which we find hard to explain, and some are things which happen every day. We can still define them as miracles because when we stop to look at the results something we can't explain has happened.

If you want to witness miracles, and they do happen daily, then broaden your definition of what a miracle can be. Let your 'miracle' definition include those little, wonderful things which occur every day, and when you notice miracles happening, tell someone about them. "One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts . . . Men shall speak of the power of Your awesome acts, And I will tell of Your greatness." (Psalm 145:4,6 NAS)

By sharing the miracles, you give the glory to God. "Praise Him for His mighty deeds; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness." (Psalm 150:2 NAS)
