A Risen Love
On Calvary's hill, the day our Lord died,
Our Lord's life ended, as the soldier pierced His side.
Not one of His bones, were broken you see,
For our Lord died from heartache, for you and for me.
Then two of His friends, they took Him away,
They wrapped Him in linen, then placed Him to lay,
In a tomb that was new, cut out of a rock,
Then rolled the large stone, that served as a lock.
Before the day broke, the stone rolled away,
Our Savior and Lord, HE AROSE that great day!
As Mary and others, came back there to see,
The Lord was not there, for He had risen and was free.
All that was left, was the linen used that day,
And the two holy angels, guarding where He lay.
Then Mary as she wept for our Lord, He appeared,
He said, "Why are you crying, it is Me, I am here."
She reached and cried out, "Rabboni please stay,"
Then Jesus said, "Don't hold Me, I must go away.
The Father is calling me, to dwell by His side,
But my Spirit I'll leave with you, as a Light for your guide."
