Love Spilled Out
As the strong wind blew, on that cold dark day,
The day that they took, my Savior away.
The priest as they saw Him, they shouted aloud,
"Crucify this man," they yelled at the crowd.
They said what he claimed, "It must be a lie,
According to the law, this man must die."
So they clothed Him in purple, and put on his head,
Twisted thorns made a crown, just as prophecy read.
As the blood ran down, my Savior's flogged face,
He hung there and suffered, regret not a trace.
For He knew by our Father, the purpose and plan,
The sacrifice must be made, to save sinful man.
His loved ones stood crying, below that old cross,
Not knowing they would benefit, from such a great loss.
Then Jesus cried out, "I am thirsty," He said,
"It is finished," then with that, He bowed down His head.
He gave up His Spirit, to the Father by choice,
As He followed God's Love, by the sound of His voice.
Now we must remember, that cold dark day,
When Love was spilled out, to offer us the Way.

O Lord, may we be ever mindful of the Love You have offered to all
whom are willing to believe and receive. Amen
