Psalm 18:32,33
"It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights."
There it is...the lighthouse. Although that takes some imagination! This rock promontory is climbable, a path leading to the top, even if it does tax your breath. I stop at a plateau, only to gaze up and see my son scampering along the top. From here, the view is magnificent. Worth every step. Little did I think I would come to west Texas for such a height as this.
The above is one of my favorite verses, found also in Habakkuk 3:19. In the midst of difficult climbs, on days when nothing goes right, God gives me the strength to make it to the heights. Can you picture God giving you the feet of a deer so you can scamper up the rocky paths that are His? And at the top, you will be able to stand and look at the view. The view that is God's.
Right now I can experience some of those heights, given God's strength and His perfect way. One day, the view will be breathtaking...
