"...with my God I can scale a wall."
There is a "Hoo-doo" on the horizon, one of the interesting rock shapes or pedestals. My son is into rock climbing, and assures me that this is going to be fun. I am certain that the last fun thing I want to do is cling to the side of any rock face, footholds or not. What kind of view is that, peering into a rock? Nevertheless, it is my 55th birthday, and this hoo-doo is very small. So I try, and there are lots of footholds, but this is still not my idea of fun.
In the canyon, hoo-doo's come in all sizes and shapes. So do the obstacles in your life. In fact, some are huge walls that need scaling. Can you think of a few? A health problem. An unruly child. A difficult boss. That credit card balance.
It is so reassuring that I am not alone to tackle those walls. My God is willing to help me scale any and all obstacles...
