Psalm 18:30a
"As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is flawless."
Senses heightened by the sights and colors in the Palo Dura canyon, we begin our trek down the narrow path, destination "lighthouse". A lighthouse in the west Texas terrain?
Since my daughter has already taken this path, she points us in the right direction...she thinks! She admits she has been lost here before. In fact, we know her. Her middle initial stands for "lost". There are signs, but then there is a fork in the road, and we have to choose between two paths. The guys in the group make the decision, but we all know that men will not admit they're lost even at the best of times. I am skeptical of ever seeing a desert "lighthouse"!
Life's like that, isn't it? I don't have a good sense of direction unless I have Jesus at my side. He knows the way, from the beginning. And when there is a fork in the road, He will take my hand and lead me down the right path. Or, perhaps, I will see His light in the distant lighthouse, even in the midst of desert times. His way is perfect, and His way is made perfectly clear in His flawless word...
