"FOR I KNOW THE PLANS I HAVE FOR YOU", DECLARES THE LORD, "PLANS TO PROSPER YOU AND NOT TO HARM YOU, PLANS TO GIVE YOU HOPE AND A FUTURE."
JEREMIAH 29:11
As I drove to work this morning, I began memorizing this verse for my weekly Bible study class. The more I repeated it, the more meaningful it became to me. Soon, I realized that it provided me with exactly what God intended....HOPE.
When I arrived at my office, the first thing I did was to look at my appointment book. I was filled with encouragement and gratefulness when I thought about my name being written on God's daily planner this morning. How often do I leave him off mine? I wrote this verse in my appointment book where I would see it throughout the day.
Your name is also in His daily planner. Take time to thank Him along with me for keeping His appointments and His promises.
Father, Thank you for your plans to prosper me. Thank you for my job. Thank you for protecting me. Thank you for providing exactly those things which in your wisdom you know are best for me. Thank you for the hope you give to me on each new day. You word is refreshing to me. Thank you for a future; a future in my workplace, a future in my ministry and, most of all, for an eternal future with you.
