I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself to you last month. The group decided another writer would be good, so here I am! My name is Becky, and I look forward to sharing with you each month.
We all live very busy lives. There seems to be so much to do and so little time in which to do it. I'm a list maker. Every day I make a list of what I need to do that day. Usually, I know there won't be enough time to do everything on the list, so I put an asterisk by the most important items and try to do them first. Whatever doesn't get done is put on a new list for tomorrow.
Our life is like this. We choose where we will spend our time each day. Over time, whatever we choose first becomes first place in our lives. We may say God is first place in our life, but the choices we make don't always show Him as our first priority. We may say family is important, but if we continually choose work or hobby over family, we are showing what is truly first place in our life. Remember the saying about when you really mean business, you've got to "put your money where your mouth is!"
