I accept God's timing, His seasons, from Ecclesiastes 3. I now need to get a handle on the opportunities at hand...
How many hours do you have in your week? 168, the same as me. No more. No less. I cannot manufacture time, but I can make the best of the time I have. I can make the most of every opportunity, wisely.
Today, I am meditating on "making the most of every opportunity" while waiting for an appointment. I am using this opportunity wisely. Waiting irritates me, unless I have a book to read, or a verse to meditate on. Prayers can be as fervent in the quiet of my car. A drive to Dallas brightens into a day of praise with God.
And preparation is the secret to using my time wisely. I carry those memory cards in my purse, an updated prayer list, a book, a praise tape in my car.
How shall I then live? In my busy day, by being careful of my time, prepared to make the most of every opportunity.
